The Minister of National Security and Justice has discretionary powers to grant any minor Jamaican Citizenship by Certification.

The applicant’s parents or legal guardian should complete the R4 Registration Form, which is available in Jamaica. A consent letter from the child’s father must accompany the application.

Two (2) local references need to be provided whom the Ministry would interview.

The cost for Certification is currently J$2,500.
